It's not a replacement for a portable AC unit if you need to cool a whole room — it only cools you. But for a commute, a warm office, or a garden that a plug won't reach, it fills a gap that a desk fan can't.
Where it held up, and where it didn't
- The top speed genuinely felt strong enough to matter on a warm commute, not just a token breeze.
- Quiet enough on speeds 1–2 that we forgot it was on; speed 3 is noticeably audible.
- Battery estimate held up close to what's advertised on the lowest setting; expect noticeably less on the highest speed.
- The bladeless design means no pinched hair or fingers, which matters if you have long hair.
Who this is actually for
It makes the most sense if you're regularly stuck somewhere too warm and too impractical for a proper fan or AC — a commute, a warm office desk, standing at a festival or match, or a bedroom where a full AC unit isn't worth the cost or the noise. If you need to cool an entire room for other people too, this isn't that product — a portable AC unit or a good standing fan will do that job better.
